Synagoga byla postavena zrejme na míste staršího objektu koncem 50. let 19. století. Do roku 1868 byl areál doplnen o budovu školy. Puvodnímu úcelu sloužila do pocátku II. svetové války. Od roku 1958 zde sídlí vodnanské mestské museum.

The synagogue was probably built on the site of an older building in the late 50's of the 19th century. In 1868 the complex was completed with the school building. To original purpose it served to the beggining of WWII. Since 1958, it houses the municipal museum.
