This World Heritage Site comprises the settlement Skara Brae, the chambered tomb Maes Howe and the ceremonial stone circles Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness as well as several unextravacated sites.These stem from about 3000-2000 BC and give an insight into the cultural achievements of the neolithic people at this time.
