Two US three-inch rifles are mounted at the east entrance of the old Warren County Courthouse, facing east, probably near where similar guns were deployed (and fired) against the Union Army during the siege.
The guns have faded paper-under-plastic-sheeting signs that read as follows:
"US THREE-INCH ORDINANCE RIFLE
Made in 1863 by the Phoenix Iron Company, Phoenixville Penn.
Property of the Vicksburg and warren County Historical Society
The original carriages were made of white oak and iron. These carriages, made around 1915, are of concrete and iron."
