The sculpture stands on the esplanade near to the Port de Llançà.

Llançà is an important fishing port and tourist centre and so a sculpture dedicated to a fishing boat is very appropriate.

It has a plaque stating "a la nostra gent del mer" which I think is dedicated to "our men of the sea".
