If you (or your children) wish to spend a night in a "real" castle, this might be a nice option for you. The hotel is situated somewhat remotely in the countyside, but if you have a car, nearby attractions, e.g. Stirling, can be easily reached. They seem to specialize in weddings, but "normal" bookings of course are also possible.
The building might look older than it actually is. It was build in 1874 by James Johnstone in order to show off in front of his brother. Later, it was used as a boys' preparatory school, burned down in 1941 due to arson and then left as a ruin until 1985. After renovation, it was used as a nursing home, and, by the present owners, as a hotel.
