On the island Tåsinge this special 400 year old oak is located. It is named after the poet Ambrosius Stub. He was born May 17'th 705 and died July 15'th 1758 as a son of a tailor. His father had contacts to the local aristocracy which made it possible for Ambrosius to study at the University of Copenhagen. Ten years later he returned to Funen without a degree. He worked among other things as a poet for noble families.

His most famous poem is "The bleak winter went his way" which was published 13 years after his death.
