My husband and I rode our motorcycles to this Mill wanting to find out if it was still in service. It is! During corn season only and only on Saturdays. You bring your own corn for them to grind it. However, it is not run by the water wheel any more. From what I understand, there was a flood and never repaired the mill. Now it is run by a tractor.
Very beautiful water behind this mill and amazing to see how it is still standing after all these years. While I was looking at this wonderful landmark, I had a craving for a Dr. Pepper in a glass bottle. Go figure.
The mill is open on Saturdays during corn harvest season. Call Dolly at (334) 504-1778 to set up a milling time.
