In Bethlehem's downtown section is a campus of Moravian College that the Guide for Pennsylvania has designated as the Moravian Seminary and College for Women.

American Guide Series text:

2. The MORAVIAN SEMINARY AND COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (open during the school term), Main and W. Church Sts., on a nine-acre campus sloping to Monocacy Creek, houses a school established in Germantown in 1742 by Benigna Zinzendorf, daughter of the count, and removed to Bethlehem the same year. This, the first boarding school for girls in America, confers degrees in the arts and sciences. COLONIAL HALL, the main unit of the institution, is a three-story building with Georgian Colonial doors and windows, and a gambrel roof and shed dormers showing a strong Germanic influence in design. The roof is topped with a small deck and cupola. Entrance doorways at each end of the facade are deeply recessed. The exterior is finished in buff stucco, with wood trim painted brown. Colonial Hall served as a hospital during part of the Revolutionary War and many wounded Continental soldiers who died in the hospital were buried beside Monocacy Creek. Other buildings include the Chapel, used by the Bach Choir for rehearsals, the Main Hall, West Hall, South Hall, College Hall, and gymnasium.

-- American Guide Series, Pennsylvania: A Guide to the Keystone State, p. 188-190.

Location Today:

The location is still part of Moravian College - it is now the South or Priscila Payne Hurd Campus of Moravian College. The North campus is now located about a mile north along Main Street. This campus includes some of the oldest buildings in Bethlehem and is next to the Central Moravian Church. Buildings associated with the campus include the Bell House (1746) - which, I believe, is what is described as Colonial Hall (there is a building named Colonial Hall on the North Campus - could it have been moved?); Old Chapel (1751); Main Hall (1854); and West Hall (1859). On campus, also, is a modern concert hall, and new residences named, "The Hill." The Bach Choir mentioned in the text still exists and gives concerts monthly in the central church.
