...aging and faulty memory, but I could swear that the Merritt A & W looked older and, well, shabbier the last time we were there. It looks all spiffy and new now. It has tables for alfresco dining among the flowers, and a drive thru for those who just can't quite make it out of the car.

It you're craving a Teen Burger or some Chubby Chicken while in Merritt you'll find the joint on Voght Street (Highway 5A) at First Avenue on the northern edge of downtown Merritt. They're open from 6 AM to 10 PM - should be long enough for you to find it.
