The uninhabited island of Staffa has several sea caves, but Fingal's Cave is the most famous one of them. It is truly unique, with its abundance of hexagonal basalt columns, many different colours of rock and the rhythmic sound of the waves in the cave.
There are tour boats from Mull and Iona going to Staffa. A rough path over the basalt columns leads from the ferry landing to the cave.
