'L’horloge monumentale réalisée en un seul exemplaire par Richard Mille a été offerte par la République et Canton du Jura, en Suisse, pour le 400e anniversaire de Québec.
Plus de six années de travail et le savoir-faire d’une centaine de spécialistes ont été nécessaires pour la réalisation de cette horloge hors norme, tant par sa taille que par la complexité de son mécanisme.
L’horloge est 40000 fois plus lourde qu’une montre mécanique standard et pourtant d’une précision extraordinaire. Ses composants ont été taillés dans des matériaux nobles, tels le titane, le rubis, le saphir et l’aluminium, dans le respect des exigences de la très haute horlogerie.'
'The monumental single clock made by Richard Mille was offered by the Republic and Canton of Jura, Switzerland, to Quebec City for its 400th anniversary.
More than six years of work and knowledge of a hundred specialists were needed to the achievement of this extraordinary clock, both by its size and the complexity of its mechanism.
The clock is 40 000 times heavier than a standard mechanical and yet extraordinarily precise. Its parts were carved out of natural materials, such as titanium, ruby, sapphire and aluminum, in accordance with the requirements of high watchmaking.'
