This star-shaped Korean War memorial is located on Austin's State Capitol grounds and is dedicated to the more than 289,000 Texans who served in the Korean War. It also lists the names of the 1723 Texans either killed in action or MIA.

Erected in 1999 by the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association, the Texas Korean War Veterans Memorial is a Texas pink granite obelisk with five fins dedicated to the more than 289,000 Texans who served in Korea.
Engraved on the star-shaped memorial's fins are names of the 1723 Texans who are either Missing In Action or killed during the conflict. A bronze eagle designed by sculptor Edward L. Hankey tops the memorial.
The nearby plaque reads:
