"New Hampshire
The New Hampshire Memorial is a 20 ft. tall column of granite, a very appropriate material for a monument to the Granite State. Three 9th Corps infantry regiments from New Hampshire served during the siege. The New Hampshire Memorial dates back to 1904, and is the second oldest state memorial on the Vicksburg battlefield."
