The fire siren on the volunteer station is still blown for fire and rescue calls as well as weather and civil defense purposes. It sits on top the fire station and is activated by tone alert from the dispatch center and manually from the station. Standard rise and fall continuous wail several cycles to alert home response. the fire company was charted in 1942.
