DOUVRIS first opened in Ottawa in 1984. The karate schools are owned and operated by brothers, karate champions, and Master Senseis John and Peter Douvris.
DOUVRIS offers karate programs for children as young as age four; safety programs such as bully busters workshops and safety courses for women; and fitness programs such as cardio kickboxing, heavy bag boxing, body shape training and power strike endurance fitness classes.
Programs are scheduled as early as 09h00. On weekdays, the facility is open until 22h00, weekends 16h00.
Sensei Cody Diesbourg, a fourth-degree black belt and multi-time world champion in fighting, Kata, and weapons, has joined DOUVRIS and assumes all lead-instructor duties at the Ottawa South dojo.
