As a lasting reminder of the former Municipality Arcen en Velden, artist Huub Rossel made a triptych: "VeLoAr, symbolic of the former Municipality. These are images of weathering steel and stainless steel, popularly called ‘de eikenbladmannetjes’. They stand in Velden, Lomm and Arcen.
The oak leaves refer to the Old City Arms, the human figures symbolizing the villages and their inhabitants, and the curvature of the artwork to the Maas, where the villages lie.
In every village is another figure made of stainless steel and placed in this artwork.
