Maison Victorienne de style Néo-Queen Anne situé au 349, rue Labelle, St-Jérôme.
La Maison Prévost a été construite en 1891 par l’honorable Wilfrid Prévost. Cette magnifique demeure imposante de style Néo-Queen Anne avec ses dentelles de bois, sa tourelle et ses larges galeries finement décorées convient parfaitement au statut social de Wilfrid Prévost. Il la nomme « Villa Régina » en l’honneur de sa seconde épouse Honorine Globensky.
Wilfrid était le plus jeune des quatre « Lions du Nord ». Avocat réputé, flamboyant orateur et criminaliste remarquable. Maire de St-Scolastique et député libéral du comté de Deux-Montagnes a la chambre des Communes (1872 – 1874). Nommé par Honoré Mercier en 1888,il siège au Conseil Législatif pendant dix années. Il décède à Saint-Jérôme, le 15 février 1898 à l’âge de 65 ans.
Héritier de cette opulente résidence, son fils Jean-Benoît-Berchmans Prévost L’habite pendant 17 ans. Admis au barreau en 1894, il exerce la profession d’avocat à St-Jérôme. Actif en politique, il devient ministre de la Colonisation, des Mines et des Pêcheries dans le cabinet Bouin en 1905. Il décède, le 21 juillet 1915, à l’âge de 44 ans.

Cette cossue demeure du XIX sciècle est stratégiquement positionné près de la rivière du Nord et a côté du parc Labelle où se trouvait anciennement une église. Ce lieu de rassemblement des citoyens est un emplacement de choix et devient rapidement le théhatre d’activité fébrile animé par des politiciens combattifs. En s’adonnant a des joutes oratoires en plein air, toute cette énergie a contribué au développement de Saint-Jérôme et a la région des Laurentides. Même que la ville de Prévost porte aujourd’hui ce nom en souvenir de la famille Prévost.
À une certaine époque, elle est menacée de démolition et abandonnée, c’est ainsi que la ville de Saint-Jérôme adopte un règlement la citant monument historique et qu’elle est protégée. La « Maison Blanche » ainsi surnommé par la population, est sauvé en 2005 par un couple passionné d’histoire et de patrimoine. Il aurra fallu trois année et plus de 15 000 heures de travail pour réhabiliter ce joyau architectural. Actuellement elle sert de bureaux pour professionnels et de résidence à ses propriétaires.
En raison de sa valeur historique, elle est inscrite au répertoire du Patrimoine culturel du Québec, au répertoire du patrimoine Canadian et fait partie du circuit patrimoine depuis 1982.

This opulent homes of the nineteenth sciècle is strategically positioned near the North River and next to the park where Labelle was formerly a church. This gathering place for citizens is a prime location and is quickly becoming the théhatre of feverish activity led by combative politicians. By engaging in oratory outdoor games, all that energy has contributed to the development of St. Jerome and the Laurentians. Even the City of Prévost today is named in memory of the Prevost family.
