This old wooden Canadian National Railway caboose has been put on display by the City of Armstrong along Smith Drive, just off Highway 97A. It is an adjunct to Armstrong's welcome sign, which stands in front of the caboose.

The caboose can be found beside the large car wash behind the Petro Canada/Seven-Eleven on the corner of Highway 97A and a seemingly unnamed access road.
Restored, repainted and looking like new, this is one of the standard cupola wood cabooses built by or for the CN between the nineteen-teens and the 1950s. Serial numbers seem not to have been consecutive, so this caboose could have been built at any time between those dates.
Current Use: Welcome display
Type Of Caboose: Cupola, "Standard"
