The Shuswap Volunteer Fire Department has two fire stations, this one, Station 2, being in Blind Bay, 7.5 km. east on Highway 1 from the other in the village of Sorrento.

The newer of the two Shuswap Department halls, this one is just south of Highway 1 on Greer Road and a bit east of the community of Blind Bay. It serves Sorrento, Blind Bay and the surrounding rural areas. This is a fairly large hall with overhead doors front and rear. Its apparatus lineup is below:
