This non-specific veteran memorial can be found in Riverside Cemetery at East Michigan Avenue, in the town of Three Rivers (Michigan) USA.
Three Rivers is a city in St. Joseph County in the US state of Michigan. The population was 7,811 at the 2010 census.
The town derives its name from the confluence of the St. Joseph River with its tributaries the Rocky and Portage Rivers. It is the home of St. Gregory's Abbey, a Benedictine monastery of the Episcopal Church that was established in 1946.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.66 square miles (14.66 km2), of which, 5.40 square miles (13.99 km2) is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 km2) is water.

Marker Text: On the memorial site forever set apart and maintained by Riverside Cemetery Association there has been erected this St. Joseph County native boulder by Ed. M. Prutzman Post G. A. R. and Woman's Relief Corps, citizens generously assisting. Dedicated to the perpetual memory of the soldiers of all wars - defenders of the republic.

Description of Memorial: The memorial consist of a very large erratic boulder, probably granite. An erratic is a boulder transported and deposited by a glacier having a lithology different than the bedrock upon which it is sitting. This erratic is a native boulder, which means that it didn't come from very far from its original place. A bronze plaque with an inscription is affix on one side of boulder.
Several canonballs can be found at the base of the boulder.
Facing the boulder are four bronze plaques mounted on pedestals, each with a verse from Theodore O'Hara's Bivouac of the Dead.
Riverside Cemetery is located at the end of East Michigan Ave. by the curve that turns into Jefferson Ave. The Cemetery is approximately 87 acres with about 10,000 graves sites and space for nearly 10,000 additional grave sites. The St. Joseph River runs along the south side of the cemetery and there are many beautiful trees located throughout the grounds.
The Cemetery is open for visitors between sunrise to sunset.
