The Wallenstein`s loggia is one of the most significant objects of cultural and architectonic heritage in the Jicín region. It forms a part of a landscaping composition whose conception originated in the era of Albrecht von Wallenstein (visit link) , who strove to turn Jicín into the capital of his vast dominions. The loggia was built according to a design by Italian architect N. Sebregondi in 1630 - 1634. It received a minor adjustment in 1813. The loggia features an extensive game preserve and park called Libosad.

Jde o první ranne barokní ci pozdne manýristickou krajinnou kompozici takového rozsahu v Cechách. Albrecht z Valdštejna, poté co vybral Jicín za sídelní mesto svého frýdlantského vévodství, zde za pomoci svých architektu Andrea Spezzy (od roku 1625) a Nicolo Sebregondiho (od roku 1629) inicioval stavbu osove založené zahrady s oborou, pohledove i funkcne svázanou s budovami cestného dvora a lodžie - sally tereny ci "prízemní síne". Zde se šlechtická spolecnost mela bavit, naslouchat hudbe a také - vizuálne komunikovat s okolím.

V soucasné dobe mužete v prostorách Valdštejnské lodžie navštívit interaktivní expozici Valdštejnových snu.
