This is a large clock supported by openwork "S"-shaped bracket
incorporating foliage, white roses and the City of York arms and
projects over a footbridge. The clock has two identical faces that can be seen from along the platforms.
The face is black with the markings pressed from a single sheet of metal and painted gold. The hour marks are Roman numerals with "IIII" being used instead of "IV" for 4. The hands are a basic design wth both having short tails and coloured gold.
