The clock has two identical faces so that passengers, and others, approaching the station can see the time. The background, to the clock face, is white and translucent so that it can be back lit at night. The markings are pressed from a single sheet of metal that has three rings holding the parts together. The outer rings have the minute marks between them and the inner rings have the hour marks. The rings and marks are all coloured black and the hour marks are Roman numerals. Three, gold, curved legs connect from the centre of the face to positions at "12", "4" and "8". The hands, also coloured black, are a simple design with short tails.
The wording "Gents Le'ster" is in black capital letters immediately below the centre of the face. This is the name of the manufacturer - Gents of Leicester.
