Výborný houslista, podporovatel a príznivec divadla. V roce 1866 pri návšteve císare v Brne tlumocil žádost (a predal písemne) o zrízení ceských stredních škol v Brne. Zasloužil se o založení první ceské soukromé školy v Brne.

Excellent violinist, promoter and supporter of the theater. In 1866, during the visit of the emperor in Brno relayed the request (in writing and forward) on the establishment of a Czech secondary school in Brno. He is credited with establishing the first Czech private school in Brno.
