The Methodists held services in a local school in the early 1800's until 1846 when they built their first Church at another location. In 1857 they built a small church at this same location and as they grew they soon outgrew it. In 1893 they tore down that church and built the present brick church. An addition was added in 1950 and it has served them well since then.
