Depicted Mirejovice waterway lock (zdymadlo Mirejovice), the key part of Mirejovice waterwork on Vltava (Moldau) river, is located on the 18th river kilometer north of Prague.
Mirejovice waterwork, built in 1900-1903 and reconstructed several times during the 20th century, nowadays comprises the depicted waterway lock, navigation channel, mechanical weir connected with truss bridge, raft sluice gate (rebuilt into an artificial channel for water slalom and wild water canoying) and small hydroelectric power station. The lock is located on the end of 150 m long navigation channel. The lock has two consecutively situated chambers (73L×11W and 133L×20W in meters).
