The memorial hall was erected by public subscription with the foundation stone laid on 24 May 1921. It presently houses the Returned Services League Orange sub branch & the W.E.Agland M.B.E. War Museum. The hall is also used by various local organisations. The hall now sits beside Orange Ex-Servicemen's Club which is a licensed premise.
One of the marble plaques attached to the hall states:
This building has been erected by public subscription to honour those men and women of Orange and district, who answered the call in the world's Great War. To fight for the Right is greater than Peace.
