This is a very active department in training, service to the community and area served. They cover the northeast section of the county south of the Lumber River. There trademark item under a former chief was front mounted fire pumps. All pumpers that were purchased for the county fire departments were front mounts. Fortunately, this was short lived and all are mid-ship mounts now. They operate a town pumper and a county pumper as well as a tanker for area that are not yet on county water system
