Gibson Southwest Fire Station - Firehouses on Waymarking.com

The Town of Gibson provided fire service for the town and surrounding area, even across the state line into South Carolina, until the Scotland County government initiated fire districts in the late-70's. The department used an old renovated gas station for many years until approximately 2 years ago when this current station was built. The community worked together and funded the majority of the new station with fund-raisers.
