Located in front of Lake Creek Historical Society's Pioneer Hall are a number of pieces of older, rusted equipment used in various functions. One particular piece of equipment sits on the south side of Pioneer Hall and contains a plaque nearby that reads:

RAGSDALE RAM

This Hydraulic Ram was all hand forged by
Jack Ragsdale except for the two round
ends. They were made at the Ashland Foundry.

The Ragsdales had 10 large Rams like
this one for pumping water out of the
South Fork of Little Butte Creek, and one
small one to water their garden.

The 10 large ones were used to pump
water up to the hill land. Believe it could
lift the water 200 feet.

This is believed to be the first irrigation
system at Lake Creek, and was running in 1900.

Ref: Marvin Ragsdale, son of Jack Ragsdale.
