The memorial sits in front of the fire station across from city hall. The plaque has an eagle on the center and it reads: "In honor of the 343 New York City Fire Fighters, who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th, 2001. This steel, a piece of the World Trade Center , will serve us as a reminder to never forget. Dedicated September 11, 2004."
The plaque is on a piece of stone with a piece of steel on top of the rock.
