This simple light grey granite slab type marker is located on the northwest grounds of the Lucas County Courthouse. The marker is on a circular concrete area that has a small sidewalk leading to it. Flanking the slab is a flagpole with the American Flag and a flagpole with the POW/MIA flag. There are flowerpots at the main entry to the Memorial.

The Memorial itself is really simple. At the top, the seals of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard are carved. The rest of the inscription reads:

Dedicated to the Memory
of those from Lucas
County who died in
our Nation's Wars
and in Honor
of all who served
in the Armed Forces
of the
United States of America

There are two metal plaques on the back.
