"Der Schweigen-Rechtenbacher Weinlehrpfad wurde 1969 eröffnet - als allererster Weinlehrpfad in Deutschland. Auf einer Strecke von drei Kilometern führt er durch den Sonnenberg und informiert dabei über das Thema Wein auf ebenso lehrreiche wie unterhaltsame Weise. Statt schlichter Tafeln gibt es hier außergewöhnliche Skulpturen und kreative Infoplastiken zu betrachten. Und das alles bei schönen Ausblicken auf Ort und Landschaft. Dass der Lehrpfad noch heute, rund 40 Jahre nach seiner Eröffnung, ein echtes Highlight unter Deutschlands Weinlehrpfaden ist, verdankt er dem Verein Erster Weinlehrpfad e.V., der ihn liebevoll in Schuss hält. Der Verein organisiert auch Führungen und bewirtet Besucher vom 1. Mai bis Ende Oktober in der Schutzhütte am Weinlehrpfad." Quelle (

This educational trail starts near the German-French border at the famous monument "Deutsches Weintor". The trail is 3 km long and accessible. There are info signs, sculptures and educational vineyards to learn about winegrowing. The trail was built in 1969.
