"The Ocean Park Branch library was built as a gift of the Carnegie foundation in 1918 on land donated by the Tegner Family. The design is a simplified variation of Greek revival architecture. Although small Carnegie libraries were once found in towns across the United States, this is one of the last remaining in California. Designated May 3, 1977."
