The city hall is located on the main highway through town. The city hall is in a large civic center. On one city is the single storied city hall and next to it is the police headquarters and a courthouse for Santa Barbara County.
Lompoc is located in northwest Santa Barbara County. It's home to Vandenburg Air Force Base and a correctional facility. The city was founded in 1888 and the city's name comes from Chumash meaning stagent waters. The city's population in 2010 was 42,434.
