Dar's Route 66 Diner is located in the landmark 1904 Navajo County bank building downtown. When visiting Winslow eat at Dar's Diner (in the western half of the bank building) -- where the breakfasts come with delicious homemade jams from an old Navajo woman who "on the rez" who makes fruit jellies and jams with her homegrown fruit.
One Blaster had the green chile cheeseburger, and said it was one of the best he had had on the trip (and we had A LOT of green chile CBs). The chile was a whole roasted green chile with nice heat and good bite. Cheese was ooey gooey melty yummy and awesome around the chile.
Younger, more heat-averse Blasterz, had the cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger respectively. Both came hot and melty gooey, with hand-cut real potato fries. the bacon on the cheeseburger was so crispy it crunched! Y-U-M
Blasterz give Dar's 5 stars out of five :)
