Státní hrad Veverí - jeden z nejrozsáhlejších moravských hradních areálu posazený na ostrohu nad soutokem reky Svratky a potoka Veverky vznikl zrejme již na prelomu 12. a 13. století jako lovecký hrad moravských markrabat. Jako jeden z nejduležitejších zemepanských hradu a pozdeji centrum rozsáhlého šlechtického panství se Veverí mnohokrát zapsalo do dejin kraje i celé zeme.
Po druhé svetové válce ovšem opakovanou snahou o naprosto nevhodná využití areál hradu velmi utrpel. Teprve na samém konci 20. století zacala systematická práce na jeho postupné obnove, která ovšem bude trvat ješte po mnoho let. Provisorní expozice vedou z velké cásti prostorami, ve kterých práve probíhají rekonstrukcní práce. Návštevníkum se tak nabízí netradicní pohled na postup oprav i srovnání mezi cástmi areálu, které již byly opraveny, ve kterých práce probíhají, a temi, které na svou obnovu teprve cekají.

Veverí Castle - one of the largest Moravian castle resorts perched on a promontory above the confluence of river Svratka and stream Veverka was apparently already at the turn of the 12th and 13 century as a hunting castle of Moravian margraves. As one of the most important castles and later a center of an extensive aristocratic manor Veverí often enrolled in the history of the region and the whole country.
After the Second World War, however, repeated efforts to totally inappropriate use of a castle complex suffered. Only at the very end of the 20th century began systematic work on a gradual recovery, but one that will last for many years. Provisorní exposure leads to a large extent by areas where restoration work is underway. Visitors are thus offers an unconventional look at the process of repairs as well as comparisons between parts of the complex, which has already been fixed, in which work is being done, and those of their recovery still waiting.
