This former orphanage, now in use by a Catholic institution, is located in one of the islands which are a popular area of Wroclaw and a main touristic attraction.

The building is painted in bright orange, perfectly maintained, and it has lovely details. On a corner there is a sign with the following text (in Polish and English):
"It was a house for Catholic orphans of noble origin, erected in the years 1702-1715 by B. J. Peintner. The Baroque edifice, partly destroyed in 1945, was renovated in the years 1946-1954 and 1970-1972. For many years it was the seat of University Chaplaincy "Pod Czowrka" ("At no 4") ran by Reverend A. Zienkiewicz ("the Uncle").
