The city hall is simple and doesn't have any of the Danish charm that the rest of the town has. The city hall is a simple, single story brick building. Along the top of the windows are seals of the town. The city is located in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County. Solvang means sunny fields in Dannish. The city was incoporated in 1985 and has a 2010 population of 5,245. It's known as the Danish capital of America.
