"A Masonic Lodge, known as Grand River Lodge, No. 78 and Leon Chapter, No. 33, are located at Leon, and both said to be in a flourishing condition."
The building itself is a brown brick three-story building located at 101 S Main Street. The main facade is the Main Street side. The first floor is occupied by an unknown tenant. The upper portion is part of the Main Street Motel.
The central entryway is recessed with a glass and metal door. The transom has been replaced with a window air conditioning unit. The storefront on either side consists of a three pane glass arrangement.
The second story fenestration consists of three pairs of one-over-one windows; several of these windows have been boarded up.
The third story fenestration consists of six separate one-over-one windows. Several of the pane have been boarded up. Between the windows are stone blocks with carvings of Masonic symbols.
The cornice is dentilated and a stone block is centered with the Masonic Seal of the Compass and Square.
