Located in the heart of downtown Reno and near where Reno first began as a settlement along the Truckee River is the Reno City Hall. The city government took over this building which was the former home of First National Bank and built in 1964. When City Hall moved into this building they placed a dedicated plaque near the front entrance in 2004.
