Who wants to glide across the water in Munich, does not have to go to well-known wakeboarding site in Aschheim. During 3-4 weeks every summer is a trip to the Olympic park (Olympiapark) well enough. Since end of July, typically till end of August, the Summer Festival called IMPARK is in full swing. A special attraction is the wakeboarding cable car on the central Olympic Lake.

Wakeboarding is surfing, snowboarding and water skiing in one. This trendy sport comes from the USA and has become a cult sport in Europe. For a small fee of 15 euros (2014) you can try a whole hour on the small board. The most important thing for all beginners: The operator promises that after this hour, everyone will manage to stand on the board! So dear Munich: Pack your swimming costume, grab a towel and head off for wakeboarding! For the rest of equipment, it is provided.

Who wants to watch the professionals while jumping and flying, you have a chance in the middle of August. Namely, the Vodafone Wake-Masters and the Best Trick Contest use to take place here on the Olympic lake.
The Olympiapark in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Found in the area of Munich known as the "Oberwiesenfeld" ("upper meadow-field"), the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social, and religious events such as events of worship. The Park is administered by Olympiapark München GmbH, a holding company fully owned by the state capital of Munich.
