This memorial is so subtle that it can be overlooked. As one approches the western entrance of the Decatur County Courthouse, there is, flanking either side of the walkway, a flagpole, then a gap, then another flagpole. Between the two flagpoles are two red granite markers. On the left they read: In Memory to Korean Veterans and In Memory of Vietnam Veterans. On the right they read: In Memory of World War I Veterans and In Memory of World War II Veterans. There are no other indications as to who or when this memorial was placed.
