The sign is not broken completely, and looks as if it would work just fine if someone plugged it in, but the motel is no longer there.
The building that looks as if it was the restaurant for the motel is boarded up and closed - but no motel.
Some shabby apartments are behind the "restaurant" building and may have been a part of the motel.
