A Missouri act in 2005 renamed this National Guard Armory to honor Lawrence August Witt for his services in World War II. The original armory was destroyed, along with most of Pierce City, by the 4 May 2003 tornado. This new armory was built on land donated by relatives of Lawrence Witt.
Era: Post WW II
