Located on the A27 Dalby Road, Dalby opposite the road to Niarbyl you can find this wall mounted Victorian Postbox set in the garden wall of a house (on the highway side). Still in use with collections on Monday to Friday and Saturday. It is inscribed at the bottom with WT Allen & Co, London but no date. It is numbered 167.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.: This Victorian wall mounted box can be found on the A27 Dalby Road which passes through the quaint village of Dalby on the west coast of the Island. The box is opposite the junction to the road down to Niarbyl Beach and restaurant, to the right of the box can be found a Red Telephone box also!
