A one story building that has been changed very little since it's construction. The RR line rain from Saybrook to Hartford and was originally chartered in 1842 as the Connecticut Valley Railroad. It was taken over in 1887 by the New York, New Haven and Hartford RR then under the management of JP Morgan, William Rockefeller and Charles Mellon.
Today the site is a stop on the Connecticut Valley Railroad tourist attraction. The facility is used as offices and storage. The train stops here for folks boarding the Deep River Steamboat for a leisurely ride up and down the river.
