"With its lancet-shaped fluted pilasters that project above the parapets of the buildings, the complex illustrates some of the key characteristics of the style, including smooth wall surfaces, usually of stucco, stylized and geometric motifs that occur as decorative elements on the façade, and vertical projections above the roofline that give the buildings a vertical emphasis. As an excellent example of a vernacular interpretation of the Art Deco style, the Price Produce and Service Station is being nominated to the National Register of Historic Places under Criterion C with local significance.
The Price Produce and Service Station is also being submitted to the National Register of Historic Places under the multiple-property listing “Arkansas Highway and Transportation Era Architecture, 1910-1965” in conjunction with the historic context “Arkansas Highway History and Architecture, 1910-1965.”
