Memorial Park was dedicated on May 24, 1925 as a memorial to World War I soldiers who did not return from battle. It is a small hillside park with a cenotaph and a cairn, as well as open areas, trees, shrubs and flower gardens. The John F. Mobley - (1900-1973) memorial is near the centre of the park near the western edge and the walkway. He was a member of the
Kamloops Garden Club, which was responsible for the creation and maintenance of the gardens in the park.
