Here's a little tunnel running under The Crowsnest Highway which we discovered in East Trail.

The tunnel is a pedestrian tunnel which is intended to prevent pedestrians from having to cross the busy highway on the surface. This one was built in 1965, at the same time that the highway was realigned and widened. It is adjacent to the western edge of McBride Street. We have since noticed that there are other pedestrian tunnels serving the same purpose further east on the highway in East Trail.
